Vendor Spotlight - Cakes by LaMeeka

On my hunt for wonderful vendors to work with, I had the pleasure of meeting LaMeeka Edwards, pastry chef and cake artisan of Cakes by LaMeeka. LaMeeka's cakes are custom designed and taste as good as they look. See below. LaMeeka's speciality is the "Pillow Cake", a multi-layered cake in which layers resemble satin pillows. Visit her website to see more of her custom designed cakes. LaMeeka has baked cakes for couples featured in the latest issue of Southern Wedding Magazine, TLC's The Wedding Story, and Bridezilla. She bakes cakes for all types of occasions and if you don't have a special occasion, but have a craving for something sweet to eat, head on down to the Bakery Shop in Forest Park, GA.

These shoes are made for walking

There's nothing like a cute pair of high heel shoes, especially on your wedding day. Those cute shoes, however, must be comfortable. Because let me tell you - it's hard to be cute when your feet hurt :( and you want to be cute for your wedding pictures. Try a wedge heel. They are cute and comfortable without sacrificing style. Here are a few wedge heels I found on BridalPeople.

Shirley and I will get a chance to work together the end of this month on a wedding that I am providing rehearsal and wedding day services for and Kimble's Events by Design is the caterer, of course. Here's a sneak peak into Kimble's Events by Design.

Wedding Venue - Dunaway Gardens

My first wedding for the 2009 wedding season will be held the end of this month at Dunaway Gardens, a hidden treasure located 30 minutes south of Atlanta. Dunaway Gardens is one of the south's largest natural rock and floral gardens. There are spring-fed pools, stone waterfalls and extensive hand-laid rock paths, walls and staircases throughout the approximately 25 acres. Dunaway Gardens is a beautiful place to have a wedding and reception. To learn more about Dunaway Gardens, visit http://www.dunawaygardens.com/.
